Hallo, folgendes Problem.

Ich habe auf meinem Rechner Visual Studio 2017 Community und Visual Studio 2015 Professional. VS 2017 wollte ich deinstallieren, dabei wurde VS 2015 zerschossen.
Habe dann unter Windows in Programme und Features die Reparatur gestartet, leider ohne Erfolg, der Ladebalken ging einfach nicht weiter. Dann habe ich versucht zu deinstallieren, ging auch nicht. Im Internet informiert und folgendes ausgeführt: ...vs_professional /uninstall /force -> hat nicht funktioniert. Danach "Last Resort" mit: ...SetupForcedUninstall.exe. Zwischendurch ging es einfach nicht weiter, habe es dann einfach oft genug probiert bis er durchlief, folgendes hat er ausgespuckt:

Gut, dachte ich. Nochmal neu installiert, am Ende stand aber das es bereits eine Installierte Version vorhanden ist. Das selbe dann auch bei der Reparatur.
Wenn ich nun VS 2015 starte kommt ein weisses splash screen und es tut sich gar nichts. Registry-Einträge gelöscht und VS-Einstellungen zurückgesetzt.

Danach startet er VS, ich kann aber nichts anklicken, einfach eingefroren.
Was für Möglichkeiten gibt es denn sonst noch? Ich finde es lustig das selbst Microsoft von der Problematik bescheid weiss und selbst schreibt das es Kopfzerbrechen bereiten kann und extra Tools zur Verfügung stellt (last resort) und dennoch gehts nicht.

Welche win-Version hast du denn? Bei win10 gibt es zB in den Einstellungen eine Rubrik 'Applications' wo alle installierten Programme aufgelistet und deinstalliert werden können. Eigentlich sollte VS schon eine uninstall.exe von sich aus mitbringen - einfach mal in dem Ordner wo du es installiert hast nachschauen

Ja Windows 10 64bit, da leitet er mich auch nur weiter zu Programme und Features. Ich werde wahrscheinlich meinen Rechner neu aufsetzen müssen, kann nur den Tip geben VS nicht zu deinstallieren. Microsoft gibt selber zu das es ein komplizierter Installer ist, den man nicht so einfach wegbekommt, falls es zu Komplikationen kommen sollte.

Ich persönlich hab mir auch angewöhnt, Visual Studio nicht zu deinstallieren.
Wenn ich Platzprobleme bekomme, kauf ich entweder eine neue Festplatte oder setze Windows neu auf.

Unschön, aber das ist schon so seit ich mit Visual Studio arbeite.
Und es schadet nicht, Windows immer mal wieder neu aufzusetzen, solange man seine Daten ordentlich weg sichert.

Hast Du mal die Updates gezählt? z.B. w7 hat 205, dabei ist ein fast vollständiges dabei
W10 hat auch mehr als 50. Das dauert!

Evtl hat sich was aufgehängt. Dann musst du W10 komplett (!!) neu starten. Also nicht durch Klick auf Startmenü neustarten, sondern komplett. Seit W8 wird Windows nur noch schlafen gelegt und läd ein Speicherabbild.
